The word 'Gentiles' means 'nation' in Hebrew. The servants of the Lord, the Israelites, were to proclaim the Word of God to the 'nations' so the people of the nations too would have eternal life. If a Israelite does not keep God's commandments and statutes, they certainly will not receive eternal life no more than any person of any other non-Israelite nation who does not keep God's commandemnts and statutes will.
