MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – The Prosecutor-General's Office of Belarus has received a request from Norway to provide legal assistance on Anders Breivik’s case, BelTA learnt from the Prosecutor-General's Office.

Upon a petition of the Prosecutor General of the Kingdom of Norway, Oslo prosecutors submitted a request to the Prosecutor-General's Office of Belarus to provide legal assistance in investigating a criminal case of Anders Breivik who committed a double terror act in Norway on 22 July 2011.

Norway would like to get details of the trip of Anders Breivik to Belarus in 2005, his contacts and places he visited. The Prosecutor-General's Office forwarded the request to the State Security Committee of Belarus to establish cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of Norway and provide the legal assistance in investigating Anders Breivik’s case.

“The work of Belarusian law enforcement agencies, including high professionalism and efficiency demonstrated during the investigation of the Minsk metro blast were acknowledged by foreign states and their law enforcement agencies,” the Prosecutor-General's Office informed.
