Religious Hatred - Vicar attacked in London

Article courtesy of Templar 1119

The start of things to come, Jews being pelted with stones reminiscent of the West Bank, Christian leaders in Britain being issued with death threats due to speaking the truth about our modern society, and our Dhimmi present leadership openly apologising to 200 Moslem prisoners because of a mistake on a HMP a la carte food menu.

The list of Moslem aggression towards the people of Britain and our society goes on, along with the appeasement by our present government. LH

Blink and you could have missed it. Today’s Daily Telegraph carried this tiny item (so insignificant is it considered to be that it doesn’t even seem to be on the Telegraph’s website):

A vicar was left seriously injured after he was attacked in his own churchyard by three Asian youths who taunted him about his Christianity. Canon Michael Ainsworth, 57, needed hospital treatment after he was repeatedly hit in the face and body by the gang at St George-in-the-East church in Whitechapel, east London, on March 5. Police are treating the incident as a ‘faith-hate’ crime.

We know the faith that was the target of the hate. But which was the faith whose adherents were doing the hating? We all know, even though no-one is saying. Just as under Stalinism, we are now taking it for granted that we must read between the lines.

Doubtless this is yet further proof that the 'no-go areas’ about which the Bishop of Rochester recently warned, but which everyone else from Westminster to Lambeth Palace assured us were a figment of the Bishop’s imagination, don’t exist.

It so happens that Canon Ainsworth has in the past spoken up in public in defence of maintaining the integrity of Christian churches as places unique to Christian worship. In March 2006, giving evidence to the Commons Select Committee on Media, Culture and Sport, he replied to the suggestion that other religions might use churches as places for their own religious worship:

There are some issues about using Christian churches of all denominations for worship by other faiths but there is very extensive community use by other faith groups in many areas. That is something to be encouraged. If there is very clear evidence that other faith groups are actively looking to use church buildings for worship, and on the whole my experience is that they would prefer to have their own buildings, then that is something that will always be carefully and sympathetically considered but at the end of the day there must be an issue about other faith worship in a Christian church.

Was Canon Ainsworth actually targeted for attack?

Update:

Excerpts taken from the Daily Mail article:

Canon Michael Ainsworth, 57, was kicked and punched in the head as one of the attackers screamed "f***ing priest".

In another attack on the church, families were showered with glass when a brick was thrown through a window during a service.

The Asian church member, who lives nearby, said: "I've been physically threatened and verbally abused on the steps of the church.

"On one occasion, youths shouted: 'This should not be a church, this should be a mosque, you should not be here'.

"The youths are anti-Christian. It's terrible what they have done to Canon Ainsworth.

"He was kicked and punched in the head as he lay on the ground, I believe that what was shouted was 'you f***ing priestî before they attacked him.

"He's still in hospital because he lost a lot of blood following the attack.

"It is being treated as a faith hate crime because of the language which was used. Derogatory terms relating to Christianity were used.

  1. May this be another wake-up call
for British Christians - and British Jews - before the already bad situation worsens to a state of no-return....!

I wonder what the reaction by the Moslem community will be to this
race-faith-hate crime by moslems against a native Christian priest? Silence or more ranting incitement against British infidels who dare criticize Islam?

Meanwhile,Mr. Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury, your silence is deafening. As is that of Jonathan Sachs, British Chief Rabbi.

And what about Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London, a supposed Christian who worships London's 700,000-strong Moslem voters more than the couple of million London Christian voters, not to speak of
scores of thousands of London Jewish voters who he hates more than anybody else in the world...
except Israeli Jews who he can insult without fear as they aren't entitled to vote for him in the first place - lucky him!

To paraphrase the well-known warning of German anti-Nazi pastor Martin Niemuller: 'When the Jews [Israelis] were attacked, as I was not a Jew, I was not concerned. When the Catholics were attacked, as I was not a Catholic, I was not concerned. And when the unions
    and industrialists were attacked
[today it's the Radical Leftwing unions & capitalist 'rightwing'
industrialists - mainly oil barons & weapon-producers - who are involved in the attacks on their fellow non-Moslem citizens, showing solidarity with Islamic violence and political positions - strange bedfellows indeed]and, as
I was neither, I was not concerned. Then they attacked me and my Protestant Church...but by
then there was no one left to be
    concerned about us...."

  2. There are groups of young men who are now getting out of control.
They see the propagandist media showing images of troubles in far off Muslim countries and they are enthused by their own agitators to adopt thuggish behavior to weaken still further thye resolve of ordinary people, to drive them out of these area.
Whitechapel is one of the oldest Boroughs of London, a home to home grown cockneys and new immigrants for centuries. it suffered badly in the Blitz but it was at the heart of the resistance to Hitler.
Now a new form of Nazism is stalking those streets and it seeks to turn London into another West Bank, where only war and violence are encouraged and honored.
Soon the ordinary people will have to set up home protection forces to establish the law and order that the State and rogues like Commie Ken Livingstone are unwilling to provide.
Muslims who seek the protection of the law from racial insult or attack, should in return discipline their children to behave in a manner they would like themselves to be treated.
Failing that we will see the brutality that killed the Chaldean Bishop of Iraq kidnapped and killed just recently, becoming the normality in our own country.
That will be a step too far and lazy government will be exposed for it's weakness.
Religious tolerance is a two way street.

  3. this is my second try -- I got bloogered the first try, but I've learned to copy when in the comment sections, so here goes #2:

Good to see this up on your blog, LH. I am just getting around to it today...too much fatigue, and the MSM in the UK was slow to discuss this.

Exactly where is "Wapping, East London" and is it largely Pakistani immigrants as Luton has become?

It is interesting that some other "youths" intervened and helped him into the rectory. The damn poli-correct media carefully screens information from the public.

  4. well, bless me, I was wrong. The Daily Mail actually gives the demographic breakdown on race in Tower Hamlets.

Angry Brits are often our readers and their frustration level is near the boiling point.

Wish we could send them CARE packages with lots of Glocks in them...or is it unlawful to make such a joke?

Anyway, I am heartened at what I see as a change in journalistic behavior...it's actually becoming reality based. Maybe that's reason for hope???

  5. These young men are cowards, beating a 57 year old man; you wouldn't see just one of them go up against the 57 year old - too much of a coward.

Well, I hope in the future, some of his congregation keep an eye open for these cowards and are in a position to give them a what's for when those cowards least expect it. Just think, if this happened in the States, that minister would be packing heat the next time, and somebody for sure wouldn't be leaving the party without some lead in their pants.

  6. "On one occasion, youths shouted: 'This should not be a church, this should be a mosque, you should not be here'."

    The audacity of these punks.

Not only are Muslims intolerant of Christian Churches in Muslim-dominated lands, but they are intolerant of Christian Churches in Christian-dominated lands.

  8. Re Englishman;

It seems we have also reached the "Tipping point" as far as our British public are concerned, if the latest opinion polls are anything to go by.

If Nu Liebour are hammered some time next year, it may just be "Game on" in regards to this subject matter.

Before anybody takes issue, No I dont think the Tory Party will address this subject with any great relish, but they will be far more sympathetic than the scum whom are in now.

  9. What would happen if 57-year old men were found to be forming gangs and beating up on Islamic youths on the steps of mosques, yelling, "You mentally-deranged pedophile misogynists! Go back to Saudi!" The newspaper men would literally wet themselves at a chance to win the grand prize on "Who Wants to be A Dhimm?!".

  10. There is a word this and it's called sectarianism.

Why isn't the government and the media not recognising this?
