The Telegraph:
A senior bishop has compared the Government to a demonic seven-headed beast for imposing its morality on society.
The Rt Rev Graham Dow likened the Labour administration to the beast which appears in the Bible's apocalyptic Book of Revelation.
Bishop Dow, the Bishop of Carlisle, who last year suggested the floods devastating Britain were God's judgment on immorality, is a critic of new gay equality laws which many Christians claim are restricting religious freedoms.
Speaking at a General Synod fringe meeting, the Bishop said: "I happen to believe that our Government is moving into the realm of imposing its morality and it is therefore becoming a Revelation 13 Government rather than a Romans 13 Government."
Chapter 13 in the Book of Revelation begins: "As I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the names of blasphemy.
"And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat and great authority."
It ends: "Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
Bishop Dow, whose comments followed the Archbishop of Canterbury's controversial remarks on Islamic law, later claimed he was not calling members of the Government themselves as demons, but said the Book of Revelation was portraying the Roman Empire in those terms.

Last Updated: 2:08am GMT 14/02/2008
Iran has taken a significant step forward in its nuclear programme by producing quantities of a gas crucial to the enrichment of uranium.
United Nations diplomats have revealed that Iran appeared to have overcome technical difficulties and produced small quantities of the gas, which is key to the enrichment process.
Teheran insists it is developing the nuclear technology to meet its growing civilian electricity needs
Enriched to 90 per cent, uranium can be used in a nuclear warhead.

CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - Now that Iran says it can put a satellite in space, the implications can be felt far beyond the Middle East.
Last week, Iran's President Mahmoud Admadinejad celebrated what he claims was Iran's launching of its first missile into space. It's one more sign of Iran's ambitious missile program.
Now Iran can put a nuke anywhere in the world.
And they have almost completed their Uranium enrichment program for use with developing nukes.

Russia's FM criticizes Iran for its nuclear and missile programs
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
MOSCOW
"We don't approve of Iran's continuously demonstrating its intentions to develop its missile industry and continue uranium enrichment," Sergey Lavrov told Russian news wires on his way back from Slovenia. "From the point of view of international law, these activities aren't forbidden. However, it's necessary to take into account that the past years have shown a number of problems related to Iran's nuclear program."

The number of the Beast belongs to the Pope, 666; and although, I do support the promotion of the Word of God, I do not support the Pagan Roman Catholic Church.
ReplyDeleteThe members of the Labour Party are demons, and if it wasn't for them, Britain would not be in such a state - they created the climate for which Muslims can infiltrate and take over Britain, and God will hold every last one of them accountable.
