The first attack happened at around 2.50pm in Prescott Street when a pensioner was pushed to the ground. … Police are appealing for witnesses or any other victims to come forward. The gang are believed to be Asian.
Detective Sergeant Chris Wood said: "These are three very nasty offences, which add up to the group going on some sort of rampage through the town.
"We think we have pictures of them on security cameras having a confrontation with another man earlier."
